Our current business on which our business model is based is the Sugar Industry in Africa and the fortification of sugar and other commodities with the vitamin A premixes we manufacture.

As a result Dalton Sugar Company has agreements with leading sugar mills  to fortify sugar with Vitamin A. This market base will grow in regions where sugar fortification is mandatory, such as in Malawi, or voluntary, such as South Africa.

A+ Plus Sugar contributes towards the health and well-being of an individual. A key ingredient in A+Plus Sugar is Vitamin A. Our Vitamin A itself is micro encapsulated making it stable and safe in our quality brown sugar.

Vitamin A helps Children to grow and develop properly. It helps protect the body against infections. It keeps the front of the eye healthy and helps the eye to see in dim light.

South Africa has a serious public health problem of Vitamin A Deficiency – 33 out of 100 children under 6 years have poor Vitamin A status. About 65% of children aged 3-5 are most affected, with the highest percentage of those being children living in rural areas.
